"Man's evolution is the evolution of their conscience; and 'conscience' cannot evolve unconsciously.
Man's evolution is the evolution of their will; and will cannot evolve involuntary.
Man's evolution is the evolution of their power to realize great achievements; but the power of accomplishing them cannot be the result of accidental events".
Georges Gourdjief
As a result of its benefits, utilitarian or industrial climbing is beginning to clearly define its place in the range of the services offers. Although it has appeared as a branch connected to mountaineering and benefits of all existing improvements in this domain, utilitarian climbing has asserted itself owing to its development, through its outcomes. This type of activity covers numberless fields of interest/domains, such as mounting beacons on funnels, painting metallic surfaces, making/performing restorations of facades etc.
One essential aspect is that the timescale of the works is considerably shortened, due to replacing old working methods by competitive technologies, and the classic scaffoldings(which are difficult to assemble, expensive to maintain or hire, more unsafe and offering a limited space to work) by modern climbing equipment. All these, of course accompanied by experienced personnel, will bring a lot of profit to both/all sides engaged in the contract. Another important aspect is that, beside the rapid execution of the work, the costs necessary for mounting the equipment are low, therefore the efficiency is high and the prices are competitive. Following the spirit of the progress achieved in technique through the discovery of new materials which are more resistant to wear, in concordance with the constant enhancement of the methods of access, hardly accessible surfaces are now easy to reach. Moreover, the as semblance and the permanent maintenance of some installations or (pieces of )equipment are now possible, so keeping them in good condition no longer represents a difficulty, which could usually lead to their total substitution.
Despite the fact that the matter of utilitarian climbing is still little taken into consideration by the legislation in our country, it is asserting itself more and more everyday owing to the efficiency which it proves.
